Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Exposure Adjustment Help!

Post by boothee »

Yesterday I've bought a new Web Cam to try in Planetary Imaging. Everything looks fine but
1) I can't control the exposure manualy.
2) Focus is still out even focuser reach the end (Can't screw in anymore).
But I can focus if I put 2x(2xBarlow).

What went wrong with my camera? Is that camera useless for Astro Imaging? Can someone help me on this?

Here is the picture of the Setting Box.

hi boothee, i havent done any webcam imaging in ages, but here's my shot on it:

1. try to tick AUTO, see if it allows you to untick EXPOSURE, then untick AUTO.

2. seems like a back focus problem? maybe an extension tube (eg. like empty barlow) would help.

goodluck,

Jeff
