caterpillar identification

Post by aquillae »

Image

Hi all, can anyone help me to identify this caterpillar? is it going to turn into a moth/butterfly?

I found it on the floor, so I picked it up and put it on a nearby tree branch (it's a scary leaf eating machine btw).

I used my Canon 350D, 18-55mm zoom lens, ISO 200, 1/125 seconds.

Hey nice close up shot! Looks like a Monarch butterfly to be.

Thanks Cat, I'm not sure if it's a Monarch though.
I guess the search continues :D (good activity for these cloudy nights for me).
