
First Attempt with Orion Starshoot

In addition to the details on the pic itself, only IR filter was used. File was saved in FITS format, stacked and processed with Maxim/DL (combined using median, stretched using log, and histogram adjusted using gaussian curve).universe24 wrote:Hi Tachyon,

Oh, you can choose to shoot in color mode or mono from the Maxim Essentials program that came with the Starshoot. I just chose 'Mono 1x'.
The color pic above is the stretched one. But I did it in a hurry... will process it some more when I am free.

Ok. This is the second attempt, with longer exposures - 10 sec x 31 (why 31 shots? Clouds... ). Single shot color image.
