Does anyone have views on the Meade series 5000 24mm Superwide and the Televue Panoptic 24mm?
Both are 1.25" eyepieces with 68 degree apparent fields of view, and are said to offer the maximum true field of view possible for the 1.25" format, since they have a 27mm field stop.
Am thinking of possibly getting one of these.

Hi Gavin
I experienced multiple QC issues for Meade 5k UWAs that I acquired in 2005/early 2006. So that is one point against the Meades unless you have an easy avenue to return the eps for exchange.
