M51 from Mersing

M51 from Mersing

So so picture taken on 17 Mar 07. Poor tracking and cloudy condition didn't help much. Nevertheless its my first astrophoto from Mersing.
Taken with Tak Mewlon 210 & 350D(mod), 6x300s at ISO 800.

Hi weixing, yes its guided with vixen oag ( takes forever to find a guide star), webcam and PHD autoguiding. At that high focal length, the guide star was dancing all over the place in the laptop screen.

nice attempt! did you try using the SDF before? Probably due to wind and vibrations...or perhaps a reducer in place.

You have better luck than me! I was trying to image the same object from Dempsey and the results are too embarrassing to show here.. heh
[80% Steve, 20% Alfred] ------- Probability of Clear Skies = (Age of newest equipment in days) / [(Number of observers) * (Total Aperture of all telescopes present in mm)]

2. No dark frames

3. Moon light

4. Low alt

5. Light pollution

6. Bad photographer!

Hmm... it look like an ultrasonic image... :P :P :P

Hope I can get better result when I try my luck on M51. Just wonder when the sky is going to clear... :( :( :(
