what is a visual back?

yah.. exactly as the title says. what is a visual back and how is it used?

Most commercial SCTs have standard screw threads. Certain accessories screw onto them for use with the SCT e.g. 2" diagonals, focal reducers, flip mirrors etc.

A visual back is an adaptor that screws onto the same SCT threads, and the other end is the normal 1.25" or 2" opening for use with standard 1.25" or 2" accessories like diagonals, eyepieces etc
