Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.
Some of us are planning a trip to Mersing next month from 19-20 May (Sat-Sun).
I am starting this thread to try to "hook up" drivers and passengers so that more may get a chance to experience the dark skies of mersing. Please indicate your interest, the equipment that you are bringing and state whether you are driving or not. To make this win-win for driver and passenger, I suggest that the passenger(s) pay for topping up of petrol and, for safety reasons after a tiring nite of observing, stay awake to keep the driver company on the way back... If you are driving and have never been to Mersing, let me know too so that I can get a seasoned Mersing Explorer to be in your car.

The trip is next week. Any more drivers and passengers? Star-gazing in Mersing is so much more rewarding than doing it in Sg so if you have not been to a dark-sky site before, do give it a serious thought. Star-gazing is not an armchair hobby or something you can do at the last-minute on a wimp. You gotta make an effort to go to a dark-sky site to appreciate the night sky.

My friend and I are interested in joining u guys for this trip, never star gaze at mersing before! We are not drving, any drivers can give us a ride? Tks!
