Hi all,
There has been several countless situations that all of us in one time or another would need to calculate simple equations based on telescope magnifications, eyepiece exit pupil output diameters, and many more. It is common to encounter a scenario when we have gotten a new telescope, or plan to, and we would be considering what eyepieces to get in the market, according to various properties like magnification yield, field coverage, etc, etc.
I am currently working on an online calculator to (hopefully) work on this issue based on the various telescopes and eyepieces (and barlows!) in the market. It would be based on a collective database of these equipment, together with their properties (focal length specifications, etc).
So far, parameters like magnification, exit pupil, focal ratio, resolution limits, field of view, can be calculated. Am sure there are more parameters that users would like to know, and if it is within my means, I could try to implement these as well. Anyone has thoughts on this?
The prototype can be seen here:

Please feel free to try it out. Take note however, that the list of equipment is still FAR FROM BEING UPDATED. There will be more. I am currently to check and make sure the coding is done correctly first. Of course, you could let me know the various manufacturing brands that you would like to see in the list. I have already added the two major brand players in the market (for telescopes), Celestron and Meade. If I have missed out on previous older models, please let me know too.
Thanks! Feedback please...
