full moon may 3rd

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

full moon may 3rd

Post by aquillae »

hi guys, the sky was really clear last night (finally hehehe). Not quite a full moon (1 day late), but I took some shots with my grab & go Orion 80ED. I tested my Tak 1.6x on it and it works pretty well.

Image

2 hrs later...some thin clouds was covering the moon, and I couldn't resist to take my 5.1" refractor out. Here's the shot taken through the TOA.

Image

both are single shot, through canon 350d, no filter, and processed using Photoshop (resampling, crop, noise reduction).

oh, i also increased the saturation a bit on both images.

hoping for more clear skies so i could jump-start webcam imaging again.

thanks guys.

I must've been really sleepy when I posted those images, I forgot to include "sharpening" in Photoshop :D

Boothe: prime focus with 1.6x extra magnification.

thx for the kind comments guys.

Remus, I took the images using my Canon 350D (color), hit auto-colour, and I added the saturation a bit during processing.
