Last I checked a brand new C5 Spotter scope cost around US$599 in the US or there-abouts.

The price at Science Centre Astro-Scientific would naturally be higher of course due to shipping cost, etc. Add around $200 for the Manfrotto slow-motion head mount plus a sturdy tripod (190 - $120, 055 - $190).
Or you can check out the second hand price which occasionally appears in the buy-sell section for around S$700-$800 only!

For MCT, you can try buying an ex-stock ETX90 RA (first generation Meade ETX) which is a smaller 90mm aperture. They can be bought brand new for around S$500 if you can still find it.

Another option is the Skywatcher 127mm MCT for around $1400 from mcgill including an EQ3 equatorial mount. (I hate those EQ mounts although almost everyone here loves them!)

Perseid (www.perseid.com.my) also stocks them.

Our German vendor HOO may have something to recommend too, I think.

cheers :D

If you want a C5, you can PM Hommel. He is selling it at a very good price. C5 is much lighter than Mak 127.

Oops, I hope the arrival of the MCT-SCT adapter didn't cause you to miss your Mak.

Let's all get the Mak 150! The champagne Gold Mak 150 Skywatcher label is about S$1.6k.

As long as you don't get into imaging, you will be happy with what you have now. Otherwise you will end up like me, selling tube rings and stuff just to fit that guidescope on (rigidly)!
