Bolts and Screws and Nuts

Post by Meng Lee »

Hi all,

Which DIY shop in Singapore can I find a large assortment of bolts, allen screws and nuts? Commonly used sizes in astro is 1/4-20, around that size.

Thanks for looking.

i got a few 1/4"-20 socket head and countersunk head.

Else you can go to kelantan lane, there's shop that specialises in selling screws only, depending on who serves you, their service standards varies a lot. The young chap is very impatient and quotes screws anyhow. Nickel plated for 30c and SS for $40.. then when finalising bill, an older lady said SS is 30c.. then he look at me "nickel pated and SS same price"

You also need to know your stuff well cos he isn't very helpful. However, if you get an older uncle he is very helpful.

hmmm I will take note of that. Basically I need 1/4-20 bolts and allen style. The ones that came with Vixen stuff are too short, and Vixen varies their thread size also. So I am intending to change everything to 1/4-20 and use longer ones.

Ok, If I have time, I will go check it out.

Hi, I need about 10 of each kind. At least 2.5cm measured from end to end. If you have let me know, thanks.

Hi Meng Lee,

Check out the Commercial and Industrial Guide for Yong Seng Screws.

You can specify either stainless steel or normal iron screws/bolts.
