Post by Jin Peng »

Hi Astronomers,

Attach is the copy of the proposal for your information. Below are the listed areas which my commitee would wish singastroian can help and support.

Vendors are welcome
This event there will be a vendors corners, i would like to invite all vendors and interested parties who wish to sell their astronomy products on that day to PM me so i can arrange a area for your booth to sell your products.

Poster Exhibit Wanted!
Any astronomers who wish to contribute poster for the exhibition during the event can PM me to arrange.

Astronomers with telescope, you are WANTED!
We would like to invite astronomers with telescope! We would need your telescope to allow the public to view through it during the event itself. You email your name and contact number to jupiter_watch2007@hotmail.com

Donation to fund this event
We would need donations to pay the transport and tentage as it is not financially supported by any schools. Hence we would need your help to make this event possible and better. Please leave your name and contact number and email to jupiter_watch2007@hotmail.com for donation.

We look forward for your participation and support.

Thank you.

Hi Jin Peng
Can you post the information in the Excel and Word documents as a normal post? Not many people will download and view an embedded file. Furthermore, the large files consume too much bandwidth. Thanks.

Good initiative. But the permit cost $680?? Perhaps can talk to the government people that this is purely a not-for-profit effort and get them to waive that.

Hi astronomers :D ,

long waited updates, sorry for the delay.

Our team had being busy lately sourcing for sponsors, getting participants from schools and trying to comfirm their participation.

To date, the event will be scale down and will not be as big scale as plan earlier:

reason being is we cannot have enough funds, nor sponsors are willing to support us financially however, only willing to provide goodie bags. And many schools are busy preparing for astro challenge and few accept out invitation - even accept is only a few come.

So to confirm, it will be change to a gathering, so to interact and mingle among astronomers, we encourage all singastroian to come down with your telescope to have a interaction. You can leave anytime. hopefully overnight :)

So details as follow:
Saturaday 9th June
8pm onwards at east coast area D1 beside Siglap canal

Hope to see you there... 8-)

Please email to jupiter_watch2007@hotmail.com if you interested to come. Currently NYP is the official school coming down~
