CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Shot this last night with VinSnr and Wai. Though VinSnr was the one handling the scope and everything while I just pressed the shutter and counted the time.

Hi,
Good effect... Yesterday weather was good and I could see many stars outside my kitchen windows, but too bad it's a weekdays night Hope weather on this coming Friday/Saturday night will be this good too.
Anyway, keep on trying, you'll get better and better image.
Happy imaging and have a nice day.

When the setup was ready, low clouds came in. So we wait. When the low clouds cleared, strong wind came. But we shot some anyway. Then later high clouds came from nowhere and we try to shoot through the clouds.
Decided enough is enough, we decided to tear down the mount and go home. At that very moment, all clouds dissapeared and it was a perfect clear sky!
I bet if I setup the mount again, the clouds will come back.
it is always like that VinSnr! it was the same in mersing as well...and especially when it comes to imaging, there's lots of wires to take care of too....and the impending thoughts of whether to pursue or retreat! argh.
