Hi everyone, :D
does anyone here knows how to calculate the moon age using a formula , comes in useful when u want to know will moonlight interfere with nighttime observing when you plan to take a vacation .... =)

Just use a lunar (Chinese) calendar or use a computer software such as Astroplanner ( http://www.ilangainc.com/astroplanner/ ) to determine the Moon phase.

I have a Casio watch which shows the moon phase.. :P
[80% Steve, 20% Alfred] ------- Probability of Clear Skies = (Age of newest equipment in days) / [(Number of observers) * (Total Aperture of all telescopes present in mm)]

i also used to have a casio watch which tells me the moon phase,lost it months ago :( :( , in the casio manual , i think the fomula used to calculate moon age is moon age =29.53 (moon angular distance/ 360 degree )... i dunno what is moon angular distance. :?: :?:
