The "bird-like" object to the upper left is actually one of those cranes in the area

Used my Nikon 995 to do it. Very fast shutter speed (can't remember ?/??? s), ISO 100 (my minimum) and large f-stop (can't remember f ?.?).

The only mount I have now is the Giro 2. It can be fitted with drives and GOTO if I want to, but it's pretty expensive to do so, and I still like to stay in manual mode for now. I'm thinking of getting a HEQ5 myself to replace the GP I just sold, so you may be able to see it if I do get it. Anyway, if you really want a GOTO mount, try lurking around Astromart. Sometimes, people may decide to sell their Nexstar mount (just the GOTO mount w/o scope) and you can grab it, make your own adapter and attach your scope to it ! Fellow Singastro member and Dempsey Rd veteran Chuang Yee has done it before. He sold the Nexstar 80 OTA, kept the GOTO mount and mounted a Borg 76 Refractor on it. Cool.

Actually, I am trying to learn to polar align but without much success, cannot differenciate the Polaris, maybe it is too low :(. or I am not good enough to see identify it :(.

was wondering if anyone out there would teach me how to polar align ;), once I got the hang of it, I would most probably not want to buy a goto mount. Anyway, what's the estimated price of a HEQ5?

Anyway, looking at the Celestron CG-5 GT GOTO EQ Mount too, anyone got an estimate for this mount, with tripod?
