Hmmm, I have a 8mm XP. What is your opinion of the differences between XP and XO? And what is a nice focal of XO that complements the 8mm XP in ultimate planetary viewing?

Thanks.

I think the XPs and XOs are pretty perfect for planetary viewing. They feel quite similar, sharp to the edge, good for those without tracking mounts because the sweet spot is all the way to the edge. If you notice, they did not duplicate any focal length. The next step below 8XP is the 5XO. I think you are using a C8? If so then you only need the 8XP.

Elton,

Can list down all the focal length available? Easy for people to know instead of searching various pages to find the sizes.

Hmm, I am using all kinds of scopes, in general Megrez 80mm flourite doublet or Vixen Ed100Sf. When the jupiter red spot is so easily seen in the 80mm Apo using XP 8, i know I may need a XO 5mm, do you have one?

ok, Remus, I will stop buying after this XO, arghhh, so good eyepieces. hehe.

...but the XWs are your most favorite EPs. Can't imagine you without them :D

Very tempted to get the 10mm one.

A XO5mm is still quite alright in the megrez, but you may be annoyed by the watery image that you will have. If you have no issues with watery views, then you should get his XO5. I'm also very tempted...
