I can bring a 6" achro refractor for wide fields viewing but do not have a mount strong enough to carry it, anyone has a mount and i can bring/loan the scope.

I brought a Astroslew II mount but no tripod or dovetail whatsoever. If you have the rest, I can bring the mount

I just got the astroslew III too for the purpose of mounting this scope but my photo tripod is not sturdy enough to support this 20 lbs scope, it wobbles like crazy even at low powers. I think even a CG5 is barely enough for this.

People, don't get too excited yet. The skies in this area are kinda cloudy these last few days. Will try to post the sky condition around 8pm on Friday, if cloudy then maybe we should have other plans.

Hi,
is your scope an f/8 or f/5?
I think his one is the F8 version base on what he mention. The F5 version is quite small and light.

Have a nice day
