Hmm.. it cost as much as the USA courses you know. I am trained to a certain extent in Zemax but seriously it is not worth attending that locally. It would be better to go to USA to attend as it is taught by Zemax staff. Also they only teach the functions of the software. They do not teach on how to do design optics. Btw.. the original Zemax EE (Engineering version) cost US$4000.

Also, Zemax requires one to know about optical theories and design before using it. It is not a 'user friendly' software and neither is other professional Optical Design software user friendly.

yup, i have a degree in physics and had a few semesters in optical theories :)
