Hello all,
Wondering if any of you is interested in photographing the lunar eclipse on 28th Aug 2007.
Its quite a rare opportunity to shoot the entire duration of the eclipse as its not visible in most parts of the world (I mean the entire penumbral + umbral phases) - except the central and eastern parts of Australia, New Zealand and the islands in the Pacific Ocean.
The location where one decides to shoot should have guaranteed clear skies with little or no possibility of rain. I am working on a plan to go to Australia to shoot.
I plan to book my tickets and confirm other arrangements by 15 July.
Approx cost will come to S$2500 including airfare + acco + vehicle rental + other expenses, for a 7-9 days trip. The plan includes a short holiday after shooting the eclipse. There are ways to bring down the cost a little bit, but then there will be some compromises that need to be made. The plan is to fly out of Singapore on 24 Aug (Fri) and return to Singapore on either 1 Sep (Sat) or 3 Sep (Mon).
If someone is interested in joining me, please send me a message or write to me at asterixsg@gmail.com
