Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.

yeah man...I thought you were all reviewing the restaurants at turf city instead! So how was the session? Apart from the fact the sky was not very good and you "seen of the same objects"..?

well some limitation at turf city which has limited us on the stuff we can see.
all lights only turned out at 11:30am and a spot light was on at 1:30am. so we practically only have 2 hrs viewing window, that explain why we see the same stuff. Lately Venus/Saturn has much earlier rise and set time so we completely miss those 2 planets.
so it is a good idea to explore other ob spot like what Zong has suggested so we can have longer ob session and see different set of stars at different time segment.
Was thinking of trying the other end of Turf City, a field at the NW end but not the same cricket field we went before. Much nearer than cricket field, saw the place with acc, look much darker when drive by on the way out during the cricket field ob.
James, want to recce the place before next Fri ob?

has anyone try out the Pier at East coast, MengLee mentioned that we can drive all the way out, i have yet to explore there.
Yes, you can. But are you willing to risk your scopes to the salt water spray?

Hd been to Area G jetty may be 3 times, remember once with Yang Beng, another time with Weixing and on my own too. You can't drive to the jetty, at best you park at the little non thru road next to NSRCC Golf Course as shown in the map provided by Meng Lee. I will consider this is a better place at East Coast except for some light from the many lamp posts ard NSRCC and one need to drive too. Area C4/D1 is more accessible by non-driver and the reason for a lot of ob organised held at this location.
