WTB: Surveyor Tripod (Wooden) - Updated

Post by hommel »

Looking to buy a surveyor tripod with wooden legs, flat head. Anyone has one for sale? Pse PM me to discuss. Preferably with 3/8 inch attachment screw.

Thanks.

Added:
Today I went to SIS (www.horizon.sg) to check out their surveyor tripods,
the wood tripod is $230 and alum is $128. The 5/8 inch screw is easily
removable. Anyone keen on these tripods? But the main issue here is the
tripod got no spreader, the legs can open all the way if not restraint.

I thought all the while surveyor tripods are very heavy, but i'm very
surprise at how light they are even for wood, wonder if they can carry a
20lbs+ load without vibration.

Hi Hommel,

Did you get the tripod? For the spreader, you can use metal chain, see link for idea
