Short Observation Session (12 Feb 2004)

Post by weixing »

Hi,
The sky is blue and cloudless in Tampies now (18:33), so I think tonight sky will be clear and I will be having another short observation session tonight (12 Feb 2004) around 20:00 on the grass patch near Tampines Stadium car park.

Tonight is just a see see look look session. I will take some pictures if seeing is good.

Those interested are welcome to join me.

Have a nice day.

Hi Weixing,

I was just near the tampines stadium just now.. wasted, didn't know you were out too. Maybe you can PM your hp, then next time can give you a call?

I was at a dark lane used by construction workers opp. blk 722 on ave 9 looking at the ISS pass overhead at 7.45pm. Did you catch it too? It was great!

Cheers
Chris

Hi,
I was there only around 20:10... didn't realise that ISS will pass by.. :(
Anyway, I saw something that look like a small white dot "fly" pass my Field of View when I looking at M41... may be is another satellite??

By the way, I will PM you my HP, so that next time SMS me when you in Tampinese doing observation.

nice evening Feb 12 '04 - and a jet contrail

Post by ykchia »

Hi folks:

Indeed the evening look promising. A 'v' shaped jet contrail decorated the western horizon.

Spent some time checking out T7 but did not detect in my watec-902H set up...

Hi Chia,
Was it at around 6.30 pm?? I saw it too! Was wondering what it was...if this was the US, I would have thought we just launched another space shuttle....from my angle, it looked like the aircraft shot vertically up before making a sharp turn to the right....
I see you managed to catch a little bit of the sun set as well...good...
