Ethos price announced

Just wait for the Taiwanese/China clone la. They will come out one for 200 bucks that is just as good.

Uhh I don't think optics can be cloned. Else every Chinese telescope will be as good as Japanese/ USA made ones. Manufacturing ability is very important. They can steal the secret to the design but that does not mean they can execute it to its ability especially at low cost. It tends to fall below what is designed by a lot.

Agree... Now they can manufacture and sell a 80mm F6 Triplet APO at less than S$850... so what's next??

I thought so ... so what are the Nagler clones? I would be interested to try some .. if they're 30% the price of the real Naglers .. :)

Well the Meade 5K UWA are not clones of naglers but they give >90% performance for two-thirds of the price. I have the 5k 24mm UWA and is very happy with it :)
