At least you guys managed to catch a few objects. It was horrible skies on Saturday night in Singapore. The best bet is when Singapore has clear skies, Mersing will be clear skies.

On Sunday night it was quite clear in Singapore and I did some 'local' obbing.

acc wrote:Thanks Rich for driving and sharing your jokes... :) It was a great trip and the helix nebula was awe-inspiring. I am surprised how nice n bright the broom portion of the veil nebula appeared in the WO 80.
haha..even though I did not see it.... kay heem tells me my visibility threshold is expected to fall but I had no idea that much! But yes, I have to say it again, Helix was really cool man! First time I see a nebula that fills so much of the FOV of a wide eyepiece!

Thanks for the portababall!

Thanks to Aircon-vent for bringing us to Mersing last weekend. We also enjoyed the movie stories and jokes that he shared with us while we waited for the sky to clear. :)
