Desaru Stargazing Expedition in October 2007
hi raychan,
not sure if it is a good idea to come just for the session in the night without staying in the resort. it is not an open public area, and is part of the resort premises. however, if you would like to stay in the resort, it would be great, but not sure if that fits your schedule. Not to worry though, more trips like this and in mersing will come, and there are new locations as well in the near future. soon!

Registration is now closed. We have bought the all the ferry tickets already. For those who have signed up, please look for Carole on that day and the rest of the group (noticable since there's astronomy equipment going). Please note that I will not be there at the ferry terminal. Some things to note are as follows:
1) Lunch and dinner is NOT PROVIDED, and you will have to bring some Malaysian ringgit to cater to your meals (except for the buffet breakfast)
2)You may like to bring some swim gear as well (beach and pool).
3) Bath and face towels are provided. You need only to bring your bathing toiletries (there are complimentary ones in the private bathrooms, but are miniscule).
4) The ETA point is at Changi Ferry Terminal on Friday 7PM SHARP. This is NOT THE SAME as Changi Point Terminal and Tanah Merah Terminal. I have already sent you the location details by now. If you have not received it somehow, please PM. Please note that the ferry will not wait for late comers. If you are late, please swim there yourself or get CC's Portaball as a floating device.
5) Please REMEMBER to bring your passport (unexpired and valid).
6) We will try to cater ground floor rooms for those with heavy equipment. Highest priority goes to this lot of people.
7) Geographic coordinates of the netball court is:
Latitude: 1 degrees 32 min 34.8 seconds North
Longitude: 104 degrees 15 min 57.6 seconds East
That's all! Seeya!
