CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
This was a personal mega project for myself, a combination of hydrogen alpha data from two refractors, mainly the 75SDHF and TOA130 over a period of one year dating back to early 2006. It is basically an 'amalgam' of 10 and 15 minutes subexposures, and with the center (KeyHole) portion taken by the TOA130 to yield greater details in the core region, plus a wider field perspective of the peripheral regions by the 75SDHF refractor. Previously, (many months back) there was a post of the mosaic of this region taken by the 75SDHF but not with the TOA130 frames. Here, it is a hybrid mosaic which takes advantage of the wide field nature of the smaller refractor and the intricate details and resolution offered by the TOA130 in the central region. All information taken solely in Singapore from the balcony with conditions ranging from full moon to high haze and a bit of clear skies sessions. Total cumulative exposures goes back to about 10 hours at least. Enjoy!

Hi Remus,
As usual, beautiful! Looks like a Gundam to me...
Curious, what open cluster is that at the top right corner?
I do hope you will follow up with your usual labelled image...
cheers

Remus - the pic size does not do justice to the excellent details you have captured! Post a larger version please!

it is on a public domain server, and i cannot upload too big a file size. If you like, please send me your email address, and I will be happy to send a bigger one to you, but please don't print it out without my permission. 8-)
