Hi,
I set up my scope for imaging last night at Yio Chu Kang, quite glad that the sky was almost clear ... and a powerful beam of light illuminated the exact area I was going to image!
Direction was due north, seemed to be coming from Malaysia or the race course, or a Fun Fair ? ... huge beam that painted the sky from 8 pm to about 9 pm, rotating like a light house at 60 deg altitude angle !
Anyone knows what that is? Is it some kind of temporary stuff?
After that and before the clouds resumed their usual coverage, I managed to capture 40 minutes of NGC 7331...

Now in addition to the clouds
Don't scare me, I stay in AMK ah. Maybe its construction or some soccer match going on.
Nice pic you have there. The dim background galaxies shows the depth of the pic!!

Hi Remus, try a "cut and paste" ... I have tried to embed the image into the text but it does not show ... I may not master the use of ...
Meng lee ... I was quite shocked! I thought it could be a new light at Seletar Airport but it was not really in that direction ... and it stopped after a while ...
Cheers

Hi,
Please note: To see the image post by JY, you need to manually set your proxy server (eg. SingNet user-> Address: proxy.singnet.com.sg port: 8080) on your web browser... automatic detect setting won't do.
Have a nice day.
The light had always been there... seen quite a few time, but does not sure what is the light for and does it on every night.Direction was due north, seemed to be coming from Malaysia or the race course, or a Fun Fair ? ... huge beam that painted the sky from 8 pm to about 9 pm, rotating like a light house at 60 deg altitude angle !
