Post by Airconvent »

Hi
Anyone has any experience with this eyepiece?
Its a 2" 70deg FOV piece of glass from Meade..
Any comments on this would be appreciated.
Thanks

I think it will do very well on SCTs and other slow scopes, but not so good at F6 or faster... :) Regardless, it will be a great low power eyepiece for sweeping the milky way and observing large nebulas such as the veil... :) Can't wait for mersing season to start again. BTW, Rich, the portaball replied that it loves ALL eyepieces... :P

haha. But it has been pampered on Pentaxes and Televues. Meade may be too bland for it now..
BTW, I bought it for my WO80...It can't be used on the nexstar because if I forget and it points at zenith, it will hit the base as it is too long.
Been cloudy all this while so no chance to try it out yet... :(

Won't one... Its quite flirtatious  BTW you should be able to set an Elevation limit in your Nexstar controller so that the mount won't slew beyond a specified limit.
