CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
[80% Steve, 20% Alfred] ------- Probability of Clear Skies = (Age of newest equipment in days) / [(Number of observers) * (Total Aperture of all telescopes present in mm)]
Thanks everyone for your kind comments! I did a quick check of the photo with Stellarium and I found a corresponding magnitude 9.95 star.
Yes I'll be going for the Mersing trip so I hope to learn a lot more about astrophotography and image processing. At the moment, I working on making a tracker for my camera. Not sure if it'll be in time for the trip though but I can either try to find a piggyback, or just use other methods! I'd personally very much like to do the Andromeda Galaxy, perhaps a widefield first, but need a tracker for it.
I have a telescope, but it's a very cheap one. Will try to post more photos. Thanks again everyone Hope the skies clear. It's cloudy tonight again.
