Anyone got experience aligning the nexstar 114Gt?
Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me cos i tried to do auto alignment and the handset asks me for certain planets but i only know wher the moon is. And when i try to do alignment according to country location. The handset only has countries like the U.S and asian countries like thailand/phillipines but no Singapore. Could anyone help me ? Thanks!!

The nexstar allows you to enter the lat long to set your observing location. Also set NO daylight savings (ie standard time) and GMT +8hrs. Once this is done, when doing AutoAlign, the scope should slew to two bright stars for you to finetune the initial alignment. The manual will have all the details.

Don't worry, once you get the hang of it, alignment will be a piece of cake. What's important now is to ensure that nexstar has all the right information (location, time zone, whether daylight savings, date, time) so it can perform a good alignment. If you need further help, you can bring the scope to my place for trouble-shooting. Juz drop me a PM.
