Hi
I was wondering if its possible to drive to Mersing via the 2nd link. I know it must be at least 40km longer going by the long way but if there is a highway linking the NS highway with the "mersing highway", then its worth to explore to try and bypass the woodlands jams...
Anyone can share?
Cheers

From the second link there is a road to Mersing.. probably it joins back to the Mersing one way lane again. I wonder where it connects. The distance is going to be much farther as you would need to count not only on the Msia part but on the Singapore side as well.
If the connection to Mersing is just only the end of Johor Bahru, then probably it is not worth the effort going such a distance (I think it is going to be about 80km if count effort to Tuas) and it could be even slower than going through Woodlands.

Hi,
I go to Mersing via second link once... We drive through a small town and back to the usual route... it doesn't seem to took much additional time.
Anyway, I'm don't drive, so as usual I don't know the route... :p
Have a nice day.

Hi,
FYI, there is no difference if you travel to Mersing from Woodlands Checkpoint or Tuas Checkpoint. Both will converge up to the main trunk at the same timing.
Of course, if you want to calculate how much time to travel to Tuas Checkpoint , then its different.
Once exit from the second link , you will go straight into the pasir gudang highway pass queenstown / tun aminah. Run the pasir gudang highway until you see the exit to Johor Jaya. Thats where you enter back the main trunk with Carrefour on your right hand side and the Telecoms tower on your left.
