A Piece of the Moon

Post by wAi_kiT »

My friend took this picture of the moon using my 114 Newtonian on 22 Mar at around 11.30pm somewhere in Punggol [smilie=ahaaah.gif]. What do you guys think bout this picture?

it is quite hard to comment without much aquisition information, however, from my monitor, the exposure duration looks fine. Highlights are not washed out, and the shadow regions are fine as well. There is a bit of slight vignetting in the FOV, but it is reasonable. If this is a first light image, it is a good effort. Perhaps for the next round, you could try the terminator regions, which would offer some interesting topographical features.

Haha, actually, my friend took the whole of the moon in parts... But then, I only managed to get these 2 pictures together, then adjusted the brightness, colour balance and curves to match the two pictures the same =X The other moon pictures are too blur le =X
