Looking for a 127mm or 150mm Skywatcher/Orion Maksutov scope at the right price. Let me know if you have one for sale. :)

Hi,
You already got an C8, so I don't you really need a MCT... especially the 150mm MCT which is around the same weight as your C8.

Have a nice day.

Yes, and 8" will always win 6" in terms of resolution. Just keep that SCT well-collimated. I have seen many SCTs out of collimation and it is working like a 3.5" scope or smaller. Just turn the knobs!

Hahaha ... ok ... I'll take the 8" out this weekend - taking a drive down to Desaru so I guess it'll be a good chance for me to "rekindle" my love for the C8.

The 127Mak was the first scope I brought to Mersing, so I guess if I do end up buying one again, it'll be more of an emotional purchase. :)

And yes you're right Meng Lee, I hate collimating!!! :)

Usually, the collimation of an SCT will be off by around 1/20 to 1/10 turn of the knobs, so all it takes is 10 mins to make the C8 work like an 8". You will enjoy the much sharper views :)
