Partial Lunar Mosaic (12/04/08)

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Hi!

Could you share us the info of your set up, image details and it would be very kind if you could let us see your raw single frame image.

Thanks & regards,

:)

Hi boothee and rest,
sorry been a little busy lately. This few partial mosaic images were taken at f12.4 (f.l. ~2600mm) with the new DMK, during slightly hazy conditions. Was experimenting the DMK outfield for the first time, and still playing around with the settings. Will try to extract out a raw frame soon. Currently on different OS. Processing wise, it is a little different this time, no wavelets were applied (too noisy even with sharpening). Am currently executing some of the post processing via command line algorithms. Maybe next time will have a GUI up...
