CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Prior to the same night that the first light for Jupiter was taken, managed to bag about 63 video files of the waning gibbous with the DMK camera and using the cass mode of CN212 at it's native focal length. Again, no barlow was used, but it would be a mammoth project if one were to use it...perhaps twice the amount of frames would need to cover the moon! The seeing was below average, and same avi's were so corrupted with bad seeing that even after stacking (600 stacks each avi), it is still "blurry". Here is the complete mosaic (27th April night) and two selected terminator scenes at original resolution below it. Some thin cloud was present during capture. Moon was around 40 degrees high from the south east horizon.
