Like the M16 very much. Is the M16 also has alignment problem during processing?

Hehe, all 3 pics are taken with the reducer too far from the sensor. According to what I gathered from the WO yahoo group, the correct spacing is either 57.2mm or 52.5mm. So the field is not flat, so the star alignment is problematic.

Yes, in the M16 shows the famous " Pillars of Creation " !

nice photos, makes me so tempted to try out h-alpha imaging. hai, more money to be spent. hopefully u have more luck with the bintan trip.

i think it should be thickness of t-ring + dslr register distance. measuring a little it's 8mm or so for the t-ring, 44mm for canon dslr or up to 46.5mm for nikon dslr. so total distance is somewhere 52mm to 56mm. from the diagram from WO, the correct spacing for my woflat3 happens to be t-ring + 46.448mm.

the gd news here is, sbig cameras with the cfw8 happens to be ard 50mm. little need to be done to get the right distance.

i'm considering getting the 15mm and 7.5mm baader spacers, and the atik cfw which is 19.5mm, total is 41mm. there should be some distance from t-thread to the ccd chip, should make up for the rest of the distance. if not would need another 7.5mm spacer. prices seem cheap, 18 and 20 usd for the 2 spacer.

btw, my woflat3 seem to work very well, if i were to crop out just 2/3" worth, all stars would be completely tight and round. the qns now is, to don or not to don. hai, need more cash.

Hehe Mooey, once you go into H Alpha, there will be no turning back. More money spent is ok when you know you are going in the right direction.
