Lagoon from Bintan

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Lagoon from Bintan

Post by Meng Lee »

This is a continuation from Punggai.

The RGB Lagoon is completed, but the alignment is not that good. After seeing what "Frank Sky Ghost" has done with a much larger astrograph, this pic really looks amateur-ish.

This is H alpha Lagoon of 1 hour from Punggai and 1 hour from Bintan. Notice the SNR is higher (of course) than the Punggai pic. Initially I wanted to do SII, OIII as well, but the fast moving clouds killed the attempt.
