the series of events was organised under the banner of the malaysia nature society (mns) in collaboration with a few schools and pustaka miri (state electronic library). it included talks in 2 schools followed by stargazing - one close to light pollution but with the milky way still visible, and one is rural darksky that can rival anywhere else in malaysia, with almost horizon to horizon milky way... and a talk for more schools and the public in the library followed by solar obs in white light & Ha - on a rather featureless sun. and a sidewalk astronomy session on the last evening where we had members of the public wowed by the setting moon, saturn & venus, even a fireball across the western sky which many except CK...

) saw... followed by jupiter afterward...we were honoured by the presence of mr. CK Lim aka perseid himself who shared his passion and knowledge on astronomy, stargazing, astrophotography, etc., equally fluently in english and malay! he even brought us clear skies... thanks CK!
