WTB: WO mounting rings & WO vixen style dovetail

Post by spica42 »

Looking for a pair of 80mm WO mounting rings with WO vixen style long dovetail plate to mount a Zenithstar II 80mm to an iOptron mount. Let my know if you would like to sell.

ermm..i think with those rings and dovetail plate, your ioptron mount will be exceeding it's weight limits when u add ur scope and diagona and ep...urs is the mini version right? u gotta be careful with that one as the gears inside are plastic and the gear teeth can break easily..

ahha..okok...hmm..but if u're using the mini tower, you shld get a BIGGER scope!!!! the 80 mm is like wayyy too small for the mini tower..maybe you can consider a 102ed..the portability is about the same cause you have your mini tower in a case, and the 102 ed goes into another case..so it's relatively portable. in any case, you can also dump the 102ed into a bag pack cause it's not heavy

I'm saving up for a 4" refractor so that I can use my 80mm and the 4" side by side. Hope to get it next year!

Lusting after the tak 106 :P

haha..i think u shld use something like a 9.25inch SCT and the refractor side by side..cause 80 mm and 4 inch doesnt amount to much diff in magnitude penetration...BUT a 9.25inch sct and a 80mm/4inch will be a BIG DIFF!!!! make full use of the load capacity of the minitower! if u're not shooting anything, a 4inch refractor is kinda useless....haha..serious! u cant see much!

I'm not really a sct person. :) I like the contrast on a refractor.
