Tarantula in colour

Post by rcj »

Hi all,

Here's the latest attempt in grabbing some colour data for Tarantula from a dark sky site in Australia. However, time was running out as the moon rose after midnight, limiting exposures of the red and green channel. Nevertheless, making do with whatever data there is, here's the result. Added some luminance as well, image may appear to be a bit on the blue side due to the lack of sufficient data from the other channels. But the Tarantula core itself is not solely HA dominated, and has lots of response in blues and greens as well. Have fun!

this is a _cracking_ image - well done! I can see that being "down under" is suiting you no end.

Hope you had a safe return.
