Moon Mosaic with Blue Filter.

Post by cataclysm »

Took this about a week ago, again with Baby Q, 2.5x Powermate & DMK21 mono camera. It is so windy at this time of the year, the best way to counteract the wind buffetting, was to image from the window. The seeing condition was not not ideal, but thanks the camera's high frame rate (1/72s & 60 fps), the results seem pretty ok.

** Since I got a big telescope without observatory, I can't get out and take photos every night. :(. In some nights, I even got back pain by carrying it alone. :( **

noob question, what's the best way to focus on the moon... the new spikey-thingie mask won't work right?

Hi Boothee, it was 26 frames mosaic. Each frame was a stack of 50 AVI subs, sorted from the original 200.

Hi Kong, imo still got to use your eyes to achieve best focus on Moon and planetary imaging. :)
