Rekindled Photographer Within...

Post by Zephyrus »

Hey all, earlier in the evening (20th January 2009), the sky conditions were wonderful. There were very little clouds and the sunset looked extremely beautiful. At around 6.30pm, I started taking photos outside of my HDB apartment with the overexposed Sun in the foreground of HDB buildings. After I was done, I was sweating hahaha.

After that, around 7.15pm, I decided to head out to my usual stargazing field next to Buangkok MRT station to setup my scope. The moment I arrived, the sunset looked even more beautiful than before. This time, the sun has already gone down, but rays that emerged from the horizon were simply magnificant! Immediately, I took out my Lumix DMC-FX01 (an old 6mp model) and began taking photos. It was really beautiful and therefore here I am, sharing the wonderful nature with all!

I have always been snapping photos with my phone camera (3.2mp AF) casually, but never once did sit down in a field and snap sunsets. Yesterday's good weather and magnificant sunset rekindled that feeling within me, and I may very well be getting my own DSLR when I've saved up enough. Hahaha, with that said, please take a look at my photos and comment on them!

Try to wait until the sun is on the top of the buildings. The glare will be much softer and you get a nicer pic! :mryellow:
Blast off!!!!!!!

Thanks, I'll try again later this evening, haha! Meanwhile, I took some morning shots on my way home, cause I hanged out all night with my friend for a long chat. Some flowers, as well as a few amatuer sunrise shots from my HDB (18th floor). Was unable to get good position due to where the window was, obstructed with side grills.. I wasn't able to stretch my hands out that much. Taken around 7am+ on 22nd January 2009.

Anyway, I'll try to snap a few shots everyday or when I'm free. The photos will not be post processed as my perception on photography is to bring out and show the nature as close to as what I've seen with my eyes. They are all taken fresh from the SD card and uploaded straight and according to the date taken, under sub-albums of the below link in date format:

Do check them out when you guys are free and drop me some comments! (:

Although I didn't managed to capture any close up images of the eclipse as I did not have a solar filter, but I did some photography during the period when I was out observing the eclipse with weixing at the Tampines Mountain Bike Trail. Enjoy all! (:
