Haze from Australia?
This week has been rather hazy and with burnt smell but I managed to do some simple observation of Saturn and the Moon last night at 2am when the haze cleared a bit. I wonder if the haze is coming from the forest fire in Australia as I do not see any hot spots in Indonesia from the Satellite maps.

Ok..checked the haze map again, and found that there are many hot spots in Thailand and Cambordia.. maybe the haze is due to these fires.

Hi,
I think the current haze is cause by local grass field fire according to the news... I saw some large patch of burning marks on some grass fields in Tampines.
Anyway, with no strong wind and not much rain, I think the hazy condition will not clear so fast.
Have a nice day.

yup..everywhere you go the grass is dried up. that means chance of bush fires that will result in smoke. but strangely we also smell it at night when the sun is no longer shining and the grass should not combust spontanteously.

Haha.. Tachyon, you're funny!
The sky is quite hazy here too. I can see a few bushes on fire near the Malay graveyard. I infer that the weather maybe too dry and cause them to fire up.

Clear skies,
