CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Hi,
Took this on Saturday morning after my usual visual observation on Friday night. I was planing to shoot using the Vixen Coma Corrector2 with the wide photo adapter that I just brought, but the image look like a bit blur and out of focus. I thought the vixen coma corrector 2 got some problem, but when I switch to MPCC, the image was only slightly better contrast. After a few shot, I realized that the sky got a thin layer of high clouds (confirmed by the Moon light later on).
Below is the M4 image I took on last 18 Apr 2009 01:39hr SGT: Shooting Info
Telescope: Vixen R200SS 800mm F4.0 + MPCC
Camera: Canon 450D
Location: Tampines
Image: 70 images x 1 minute exposure @ ISO400
Anyway, I hope the coma corrector 2 will perform well as I like the wide photo adapter very much... if only I can find an adapter to connect my MPCC on it...
Have a nice day.

Nice picture, M4 is easy to locate because it is next to Antares but not as prominent as Omega Centauri
I can make out Omega Centauri using binoculars not M4
Suppose you need a really dark location to observe M4
Sorry I didn't come down on Friday Wei Xing, had training on Saturday so I had to turn in early. Will join you for other sessions soon. Don't stop smsing!
