CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Hi,
Messier 6 (NGC 6405) Butterfly Cluster is located in the constellation of Scorpius and near the two stinger stars.
Anyway, the weather wasn't that good... quite clear, but with a layer of high clouds. So I decided not to waste the night and shoot at M6, the butterfly cluster... thinking that the high cloud shouldn't affect the stars much, but I was wrong. The result stars was not sharp and look bloated.
Below is the M6 image I took on 25 Apr 2009 02:34hr SGT:
Nice...Never seen the butterfly so clearly before!
This cluster is one of the first I learnt when I started..bring back memories of me and my ETX90 at the kitchen window looking at M6 and M7 at 2am in the morning...
