I first noticed a very bright object in the eastern sky on Tuesday morning at 5am. It appeared very close by, just above the blocks of flats, and had a strange shape illuminating brilliant white light. Then I saw it again this morning at 6am but it was very far off, high in the sky this time.
Can someone tell me what it is?

That is definitely the planet Venus and if you look closely slightly below Venus, you will see Mars
If you want to know more, you can join in the Sidewalk Astronomy session tonight at Tiong Bahru Park - 8.00pm. Many Sifus"" there.

Hi,
The bright one you saw it on Tuesday morning at the eastern sky was Venus and the one you saw it this morning high in the sky was Jupiter.
Have a nice day.
