Hi,
Got the mount already. The DEC is out of alignment, dismantle it and fixed it back
Err... What do you mean the DEC is out of alignment and how you know that it is out of alignment???

Have a nice day.

blurblock, how does the mount compare to a cg5? does the built-in finder on the mount head really work?

I think if the shipping charges is too much, might as well purchase a spare OTA, without the peripherial ;).
Weixing is right. If there is no change to your blurred image when you focussed, seems unlikely it is a focusser problem. Looks more like the focussing knob is not engaging the spindle. Look carefully at the knob again. There should be a small hole where an alley key is present. This key should be tightened so that the knob grips the spindle..

Hehe .... too late, the scope already sent back :).... Chris of Binoculars said he will be sending me one new one to replace my current one.

Anyway, for ariefm71 question, I can't really answer it as I do not and had not used a CG5 before, but someone from Astromart did,

There is a bit of problem with the motor of the Konus Mount, but after rewiring the connector, the mount is working now :). Thanks to the wire chart provided by Konus via email :). Now only waiting for the scope .... BTW anyone here having a spare Dovetail bar which I can borrow or buy?

Hi,
It had been quite sometime that you sent back the OTA... Have the new OTA arrive?? If yes, any comments on the performance of the scope??

Have a nice day.
