Colourize Moon Mosaic

Post by cataclysm »

This is a 9 panel Moon Mosaic, taken on 30 July with DMK 41 Mono camera through a Red filter. I intentionally applied some subtle hue to the image for a more pleasing and contrasting look. The imaging scope is Tak Baby Q.

Very nice. The processing is just right.

I just got my DMK and can't wait to try it out.

BTW, have you resize the image? If yes, by how much? And is it at prime focus?

Thanks in advance.

Hi all, thanks for all the nice compliments! [smilie=cute2.gif]

Hi Perseid, the image was resized down by 50% from the original 3800x3000 pixels. (original file size is big about 70 MB). Sorry, forgot to mention the imaging train. It was imaged at approx F20 by stacking a 1.5x Takahashi tele extender and 2.5x Televue powermate. This baby Tak can really handle insane magnification...

Thanks a lot for the explanation. It helps me to plan out my next imaging session.

Wow! F20 and still so sharp! And forgot to mention, you did good on the stitching. Can't see where the borders are.

Hope to see more great images from you in future.
