NGC55 and NGC253 in Sculptor

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

NGC55 and NGC253 in Sculptor

Post by Barry »

I just had two fantastic nights in the observatory.

I got stacks of 15 minute subs on these two galaxies over the two nights.

NGC253 2hr 30 min
NGC55 3hr 75 min

Skywatcher Black Diamond ED120 on an EQ6
Orion Starshoot Pro III DSI (OS colour)

Stacked in MaxIm DL Essentials, PP in Photoshop Elements 6. I think I am getting a little better at this each time..:screwy:

C&C welcome though...;)

It's just a shame i can't post them here in full format.

The NGC253 look like from one of the poster I have.

Very nice indeed. I noticed that your images kept getting better and better.

Do try to take the bug nebula and send hubble out of commission!

Thanks guys. The bug may be a little small for my scope, but one day I may give it a go. I might need a big barlow to do it.

Baz.
