Help with Red Dot finder

Hi guys
The finder(scope) of my Nexstar has a bit of a problem. The red dot doesn't show up anymore. I tried changing the battery to the finder, but it works not. Anyone have any helpful tips for the matter? It is really hard to check on the skies without a finder. My LX 200 finder can't fit in the 4SE too.

Try testing the red LED inside. it might be damaged
